Pred Hunters

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has temporarily suspended an attorney who is the subject of a news report by WJAC 6

A Pittsburgh-based defense attorney will spend several years behind bars after pleading guilty to attempting to solicit sexual acts from whom he thought was a teenage girl.

In late 2023, police arrested Paul Luvara following an investigation into sexually explicit messages that he was accused of sending to members of the online group, 814 Pred Hunters, who were posing as a 15-year-old.

Authorities say Luvara was taken into custody after arranging to meet with the “teen” in Jefferson County.

According to online court records, Luvara pleaded guilty last November to charges of attempted corruption of minors and criminal use of a device.

He was then sentenced last week to serve 30 months to 7 years, followed by up to three years of probation.

Court records show that Luvara is also required to register as a sex offender for a minimum of 15 years.
