The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility has publicly censured an attorney

Mr. Dugger represented one client in a bankruptcy case and a second client in a landlord tenant case. In,the first complaint, Mr. Dugger failed to include his client’s home in the bankruptcy matter which resulted in his client’s home being foreclosed. In the second file, Mr. Dugger failed to appear in court, failed to take action following the entry of an adverse judgment against his client, and delayed the outcome of the case.

By these acts, Mr. Dugger has violated Rules of Professional Conduct Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (competence), 1.3 (diligence), 3.2 (expediting litigation), and 3.4 (fairness to opposing party and counsel) and is hereby Publicly Censured for this violation.

A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorney’s ability to practice law.
