The Tennessee Board on Professional Responsibility has publicly censured an attorney who pled no contest “in resolution of the criminal and contempt actions and was granted judicial diversion.”

The allegations related to the attorney’s former romantic partner who had sought and been granted an order of protection against him.

He had violated that order by “repeatedly contacting the complainant.”

The matter had been referred by the state Supreme Court

This matter is before the Court pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, §§ 22.1, 22.2, and 22.7 upon a Notice of Submission filed by Disciplinary Counsel for the Board of Professional Responsibility (hereinafter “the Board”), consisting of certified copies of the General Sessions Disposition judgments in State of Tennessee v. Darren Craig Lamb, Case Nos. GS1042452, GS1034636, and GS1035043, evidencing a plea of nolo contendere to Stalking, Harassment and Violation of a No Contact Order, all Class A misdemeanors, for which the Court granted judicial diversion pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. §40-35-313. Certified copies of the General Sessions Disposition judgments are attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.
