Bar Charges Involve Botox Spa Treatment Charge
A complaint filed by the North Carolina State Bar alleges that an attorney who was in a dating relationship with a woman agreed to represent her in a divorce for a $2,000 flat fee.
They attended a spa together for a treatment cost that $1,200.
She agreed that he could charge her spa account on the condition that he pay her back.
Defendant agreed to reimburse [her] for the $1,200.00 Botox treatment and made a partial payment of $200.00 to [her] for the charge to her spa account.
He allegedly refused to repay her, telling her she owed him additional legal fee despite the fact she did not owe him additional fees.
Further, he allegedly assaulted her after she had barricaded her front door to prevent his entry resulting in injuries to her wrist and chest “causing contusions.”
She obtained a protection order; he was charged with assault.
He allegedly violated the terms of the protective order by posting abour her on Instagram and contacting her by telephone.
He allegedly used her confidential information to contact her ex-husband “to obtain information that [he] could use to discredit [her]” in the protective order and assault cases.
He was convicted and sentenced to 24 months of supervised probation, which he allegedly violated by contacting her. (Mike Frisch)
