Idaho Resignations

The Idaho Supreme Court has accepted resignations from attorneys in two separate matters in which the attorneys had faced bar discipline charges.

One of the matters involved an attorney who had received an $838, 480.67 settlement check for a watercraft insurance claim. The entire amount was due to the client. The attorney did not timely forward the proceeds and used funds for personal and business expenses. The attorney later paid the client $500,000 and $80,000 leaving an unpaid balance of $258, 460.67. She has made arrangements to pay the balance with interest.

The other (unrelated) matter involved the alleged mishandling of a child custody case for a client located in California, false statements to the client and failure to respond to the bar complaint. (Mike Frisch)
