Inappropriate Communications Draw Reprimand
The Arizona Presiding Discipinary Judge approved a stipulated public reprimand of an attorney
The Agreement sets forth the factual background for the ethical violations, which is not repeated herein. Generally speaking, in her own personal family law matter, Ms. Parker sent inappropriate communications to her former spouse and his wife and unilaterally terminated therapy for her minor child in violation of the parties’ Rule 69 Agreement, which the court had adopted as an order.
Respondent was involved in a “very contentious” proceeding with her ex-husband
While the Petition was pending a decision by the family court, Respondent sent Mr. Lazzara certain inappropriate communications, including the following, which Respondent acknowledges were inappropriate:
• “You’re a monster to your kids. Sad thing is you are too stupid to even know why.”
• “[D]espite running [sic] all my fantasies of unplugging your ventilator, the boys need their dad.”
• “[Y]ou crap out as a dad and I will make sure you are embarrassed in every area of your life you rodent!”
• “If you come any earlier than 630, I will cancel and make a report of harassment and stalking.”
• “If anything happens, I will own you and then have you jailed. Be a better parent than your neglectful pathetic self.”
• “You are such a disgrace. You really should just go earn money because you are worthless as a human being . . . it would be really embarrassing if that video were to be released in court or during your adoption . . . perhaps you want to rethink the every Sunday night with me.
