The Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct has imposed a 30-day suspension of a Circuit Court judge who was stopped on January 2. 2024 for erratic driving.
He failed a field sobriety test, was arrested for driving under the influence and cited for violation of the Implied Consent Law.
The Implied Consent charge was dismissed on his plea to fist offense DUI.
When any judge, but especially a judge who adjudicates substance abuse matters and traffic violations such as Judge Rogers, is convicted of DUI or a related offense, respect for the judiciary and the administration of justice suffers.
He accepted full responsibility for his violation of judicial ethics.
