Protected Speech?

An Answer has recently been filed in response to a Complaint filed by the Illinois Administrator.

The complaint alleges, among other things, that the following post on Twitter was false

“Did you know the ARDC & the Illinois Supreme Court has a [sic] history of permitting harassment of women until they comitt [sic] suicide or leave the bar? That’s how they enforce their “anti-discrimination and non harassment policy.” How do I know this? I interviewed the affected women.”

The Answer asserts that the statement is true.

Further, the Answer contends that the statement is constitutionally protected speech.

My own opinion is that the Illinois Administrator treads on dangerous ground when it charges an attorney with an ethics violation for criticism of them. (Mike Frisch)
