Your Magistrate

The Ohio Director of the Board of Professional Conduct has certified a formal complaint alleging violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct.

Respondent is alleged to have posted two photographs of herself in judicial robes on Facebook “without a disclaimer or other language identifying herself as a magistrate.”

She is alleged to have attended a Republican Club “Meet the Candidate” event and stated

in the last two years, I’ve gained experience on the bench, or as a judge through my current position.

Finally, it is alleged that in two radio ads it was stated

Republican Stephanie Williams is the experienced judge for Cambridge and Guersey County with twenty plus years of experience in the courtroom.

The statements are alleged to be falsehoods and misrepresentations. (Mike Frisch)
