A Serious, Existential Threat

District of Columbia Disciplinary Counsel has filed its brief to the Board on Professional Responsibility in support of a hearing committee disbarment recommendation of Rudy Guiliani.

The brief states that Mr. Guiliani “used his law license to undermine constitutional democrary by bringing an utterly frivolous seeking to disqualify hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania voters who cast their ballots by mail.” 

Further 

A lawyer cannot be permitted to engage in this misconduct. Yet Mr. Guiliani is utterly without remorse and defends his indefensible conduct to this day. His misconduct poses a serious, existential threat to the continued viability of the republic.  The Board on Professional Responsibility should – must – recommend to the Court of Appeals that he be disbarred.
