Attorney Accepts License Revocation
The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board has accepted the license revocation of an attorney on these facts
That I am aware that there is currently pending a complaint, an investigation into, or a proceeding involving, allegations of misconduct, the docket numbers for which are set forth above, and the specific nature of which are here set forth:
a. In VSB Docket No. 23-080-126978, the Complainant AZ was the sister of the girlfriend of one of Respondent’s clients.
b. AZ was at a bond hearing on June 3, 2021 to support her sister’s boyfriend when she met Respondent for the first time.
c. Respondent asked for AZ’s telephone number, which she gave him.
d. Respondent then texted AZ on June 3, 2021 and asked her to meet him at his office in Roanoke. AZ stated she was busy working to pay for school, and Respondent replied that he could help her with that.
e. AZ agreed to meet Respondent at his office after hours, believing that the meeting was a job interview.
f. While at Respondent’s office on June 8, 2021, Respondent spoke to AZ before advising her that he did not have a job opening at his office but would keep her in mind.
g. On June 9, 2021, Respondent texted AZ again asking her if she was looking for a job or something on the side, and suggested they meet again at his office.
h. Believing that Respondent was going to offer her work, AZ went to Respondent’s office at 6 p.m. on June 9, 2021.
1. During that meeting, Respondent offered to provide AZ with gifts and cash in exchange for sexual favors.
J. AZ declined the offer. After she left Respondent’s office, Respondent sent her $500 using a cash app payment.
k. Respondent continued texting AZ and later offered her $1,000 for a massage.
l. In VSB Docket No. 23-080-128558, the Virginia State Bar received allegations that Respondent was engaging in inappropriate sexual relationships with clients.
