While employed by the Office of the State Attorney, Vitola allegedly stole government-owned reference books and sold them on eBay for profit. Vitola was criminally charged by Information with dealing in stolen property, a second degree felony, grand theft, a third degree felony, and engaging in a scheme to defraud, a third degree felony.
