“Incident with Stranger from the Internet”

Ohio Disciplinary Counsel has filed a complaint with this introduction

Relator alleges that…an attorney admitted to the practice of law in Ohio, has engaged in increasingly erratic behavior and has been diagnosed with a mental illness. As a result, California imposed a gun violence restraining order after finding that he was an imminent threat to himself and others. Relator intends to request a mental-health evaluation and impairment suspension.

The complaint alleges domestic violence and relates the Respondent’s social media posts in some detail in support of the complaint.

The posts on Facebook and Twitter include anti-vaccine and anti-Bill Gates positions and claims that the San Diego police were arresting him for terrorism.

An alleged “Incident with Stranger from the Internet” [E.V. in the complaint] involved a person who called Respondent and agreed with his social media postings that Bill Gates murdered millions of people.

When E.V. called him, Respondent asked how he got the number and

E.V. said it was given to him by God.

The complaint notes that the number was publicly listed as Respondent is a real estate agent.

The incident led to E.V. being invited to his home, threatening him with a knife and ordering Respondent to “kneel before him.” When he complied, E.V. allegedly said

I am going to kill you motherfucker.

He fled his home and encountered the San Diego police.

There is an alleged incident with his father and the history of the gun violence restraining order that had led to the seizure of three shotguns. (Mike Frisch)
