The Idaho Supreme Court accepted the resignation of a convicted attorney
In March and April 2021, Mr. Warren was charged in Ada County with felony lewd conduct with a minor and felony sexual battery of a minor. According to the amended criminal complaint, Mr. Warren committed a lewd and/ or lascivious act and sexual battery upon a 15 -year- old by oral -genital, anal -genital, and/ or genital -genital contact with the intent to arouse, appeal to and/or gratify the lust, passion, and/ or sexual desire of Mr. Warren, the 15 -year- old, or a third person. On August 24, 2021, Mr. Warren pled guilty to felony lewd conduct with a minor pursuant to a plea agreement and the felony sexual battery charge was dismissed. On November 9, 2021, Mr. Warren was sentenced to 30 years in prison ( 10 years fixed, 20 years indeterminate).
The Idaho Supreme Court accepted Mr. Warren’ s resignation in lieu of discipline. By the terms of the Order, Mr. Warren may not make application for admission to the Idaho State Bar sooner than five years from the date of his resignation. If he does make such application for admission, he will be required to comply with all of the bar admission requirements in Section II of the Idaho Bar Commission Rules and shall have the burden of overcoming the rebuttal presumption of the ” unfitness to practice law.
