The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has disbarred an attorney for a criminal conviction involving forgery, theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking.
The attorney served as the treasurer of the Pleasant Valley Masonic Hall Association. Checks written on the Association account required two co-signers.
The attorney forged the other signatures to 75 checks and made eight improper disbursements.
The total involved was a shade under $50,000.
The Disciplinary Board did not credit his claimed remorse given statements he had made about the political motivations of the criminal prosecutor. (Mike Frisch)
