Staying Active In Pennsylvania Is Not Optional
We have previously noted that Pennsylvania is a jurisdiction that is singularly intolerant of unauthorized practice of attorneys who are administratively suspended.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court imposed a six-month suspension of an attorney who went on inactive status in Pennsylvania in 2008 and was administratively suspended for non-payment of fees and failure to comply with disciplinary enforcement rules in 2017.
She paid the fees and a filed a compliance statement and was restored to active status in January 2020.
The unauthorized practice was as an assistant general counsel to a company located in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
The attorney consented to the suspension. (Mike Frisch)
