No Appetite For Reprimand

An attorney who had failed to appear for the administration of his previously-ordered reprimand has been suspended for two years by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

The Disciplinary Board report (appended to the court’s order) notes that the attorney had abandoned his Pennsylvania practice away back in 1990.

In an unrelated matter, a public defender who had practiced while administrative suspended was publicly reprimanded for that misconduct.

The attorney had represented juvenile clients.

The Disciplinary Board accepted that relatively lenient sanction in light of the established causal link between the misconduct and his diagnosed depression.  (Mike Frisch)
