A lawyer from White Plains was arrested at the Belmont Park racetrack Saturday after a detective spotted him taking pictures up women’s skirts, police said.
Nassau County police charged Samuel Jackson, 28, of Ralph Avenue, with two felony counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance.
Jackson, a graduate of Fordham School of Law, has worked for Ras Associates, a law firm in Purchase, since 2015. Within a few days of his arrest, Jackson’s photo and bio were removed from the firm’s website.
Jackson was at the racetrack in Elmont for the Belmont Stakes, the final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown. A New York City police detective observed him stand behind two women, put his cellphone under the skirt of one of them, and then the other, police said.
The two women, both 19, were unaware of what had happened, police said.
Jackson was released on $2,500 and returned to Nassau County Court on Wednesday. He is due back in court on Aug. 28.
