The web page of the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board reports a recent license revocation.

The News and Advance reported on the case.

The Virginia State Bar revoked a Lynchburg-based attorney’s license effective Feb. 16.

Brent Lavelle Barbour wasn’t at the disciplinary proceeding, so the Virginia State Bar’s Disciplinary Board sent him a copy of the summary order, according to a Wednesday news release from the Virginia State Bar.

The release states Barbour’s license was revoked because of “violations to the rules of professional conduct governing competence, diligence, communication, fairness to opposing party and counsel, and misconduct.”

Barbour had an office on 107 Widgeon Court, according to the release. A webpage on the Virginia State Bar’s site states the board’s disciplinary actions can be appealed up to 30 days “after the Memorandum Order is served on the Respondent.”
