A Doctor As A Client

The Delaware Supreme Court has disbarred a Pennsylvania attorney who was found to have committed serious misconduct while admitted pro hac vice in a medical malpractice action.

The attorney failed to disclose his defendant doctor client’s alteration of records, false testimony and fraudulent conduct.

The appended report of the Board on Professional Responsibility concludes that the attorney failed to take reasonable remedial action in light of his client’s false deposition and trial testimony.

The underlying conduct involved the doctor’s evaluation of a baby’s jaundice. (Mike Frisch)
