A Great Teacher And Great Dean Remains A Disbarred Lawyer
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has denied reinstatement to an attorney disbarred in December 2006 on his stipulation of dishonesty and mishandling of funds.
He had sought to withdraw the stipulation of misconduct on the day of the hearing. In the reinstatement, he blamed his attorney for his plight.
At the time of the disbarment, he was a sole practitioner and a full time tenured faculty member at Villanova University.
In February 2007, he published A Open Letter to the Villanova Community in The Villanovan that was found at the reinstatement to have falsely characterized the circumstances of the disbarment.
He also had issues with failures to file state taxes. He holds a Master’s degree in Taxation.
Post -disbarment he has had a career at Strayer University’s Cherry Hill New Jersey Campus. The Dean of Students there described him as a “great teacher and great Dean.”
He teaches business law and ethics.
The character testimony did not carry the day.
