Attorney Conflicted, Spouse Was Adverse Party To Client

An attorney was publicly censured by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility for a conflict of interest and drafting misleading documents.

The attorney had represented the seller in a real estate transaction. The buyer was the attorney’s wife.

The documents that the attorney drafted were misleading “as to the true sales price of the property.” (Mike Frisch)
