The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board has recommended that an attorney convicted in state court of felony theft by fraud be permanently disbarred.

The attorney’s conviction involved fraudulent billing of a Medicaid program  in that she “knowingly submitted false information for the purpose of obtaining greater compensation than that to which Helping Hands and the defendant were legally entitled for furnishing services…”
