Say You are Sorry

An applicant who had been arrested for identity theft and had an unpaid judgment on a student loan was denied admission to the Bar by the Louisiana Supreme Court.

After a hearing on character and fitness, a commissioner had recommended conditional admission. The Committee on Bar Admission objected to the admission.

The court noted the applicant’s lack of remorse and rehabilitation, but will allow reapplication in two years. (Mike Frisch)
