“Shoot Your Ground” Case Draws Sanction

An attorney who had “aimed a gun at a group of people, including a three-year-old child, in a threatening manner while yelling obscenities, and then shot into the ground” was suspended for a year and a day, with six months served and a two-year probation by the Colorado Presiding Disciplinary Judge.

The attorney pled guilty to felony menacing and misdemeanor child abuse. She received a two-year deferred judgment and sentence in the criminal case. (Mike Frisch)
