The Indiana Supreme Court has ordered a suspension of not less than three years without automatic reinstatement based on a 56-page hearing officer report describing misconduct from 2003 to 2010.

In one instance, the attorney obtained the appointment of a special judge and then sought to disqualify the special judge for personal bias against his client.

The motion was supported by

a purported transcript of recorded conversations between the client and others. The transcript included excerpts of no relevance to the judge’s personal bias on such topics as the judge’s alleged sexual relationships and the character of his former wife.

The court found several aggravating factors, including lack of insight and little remorse. (Mike Frisch)
