Disbarred But Immediately Eligible To Seek Reinstatement

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has disbarred an attorney for ethical misconduct in representing clients and (more significantly as to sanction) his sale of cocaine and heroin in undercover drug buys.

The Disciplinary Board found a casual connection between the attorney’s drug addiction and the misconduct. He also has made strides in his recovery. Because he has not practiced since 2000, the Board recommended that he be allowed to petition for reinstatement after January 1, 2012. the court adopted that recommendation and made the disbarment effective as of January 1, 2007.
