The Florida Supreme Court rejected a referee’s proposed ten day suspension and instead suspended an attorney for 91 days. The attorney had issued a fraudulent subpeona to a bank for her client’s record in the absence of a pending case.

The court rejected the conclusion that the conduct did not involve dishomesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation. The court also rejected allegations that there was bias against the attorney in the disciplinary process. (Mike Frisch)
