Misconduct On Steroids
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has disbarred an attorney who pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, testosterone cypionate. He tested positive for the drug while released on bail and was placed on house arrest. His bail was later revoked.
The attorney was sentenced to probation but warrants were issued for alleged violation of conditions. He was resentenced to a jail term with immediate release for substance abuse treatment.
In another matter, he was convicted in a vehicle accident case. He violated probation conditions in that matter. He also engaged in fee-related ethics violations in five separate client matters.
The Disciplinary Board called the situation a “serious and disturbing set of circumstances. ” (Mike Frisch)
