The Kentucky Supreme Court accepted a motion for permanent disbarment of an attorney who has not actively practiced law since 1988. The attorney
admitted to exercising fraudulent and illegal control over another’s condominium by renting it to others after the condominium owner’s death. [He] admitted to knowingly failing to locate the heirs of the owner or cede control of the condominium to the Commonwealth of Kentucky after the owner’s death. [He] collected at least $15,000 in rent over the course of twelve years.
The attorney entered a guilty plea to federal mail fraud charges and has pending state court charges. (Mike Frisch)
