Limited Representation Agreement Defeats Legal Malpractice Claim

The Indiana Court of Appeals has held that the defendants in a legal malpractice lawsuit were improperly denied summary judgment. The attorneys and client had entered into a limited representation agreement. The attorneys fulfilled their obligations under the agreement. There was no evidence that the former client plaintiff did not understand or consent to the limited representation. (Mike Frisch)
