Disturbing Behavior

The Louisiana Supreme Court found that an attorney had engaged in misconduct in two client matters. Although the court found it to be “[p]articularly disturbing” that the attorney sought to blame the clients for his lapses, it imposed a fully-deferred six-month suspension. Justice Clark, with Justice Knoll concurring, would find that the “record does not support that the [Office of Disciplinary Counsel] proved, by clear and convincing evidence, that respondent had violated any ethics rules.” (Mike Frisch)
