Hannah Arendt and Kris Kringle

One of my consistent themes over the years, derived from years of practice in a firm and as a general counsel, and developed, for better or worse in the several years I’ve been writing academic pieces, is how much one misses, when considering the reasons for action or inaction, by “thinking like a lawyer,” at least as that phrase has come to be understood.  One of Rick Hills’ recent posts inspired me to pull my copy of Hannah Arendt’s The Life of the Mind off the bookshelf
