Mandatory Malpractice Insurance- Not Yet

The web page of the Virginia State Bar reports that:

“The Virginia State Bar Council voted 44 to 7 during its March 1 meetingin Richmond to delay publication of a proposal that would require allVirginia lawyers to carry legal malpractice insurance. The councildecided that it should have an opportunity to debate the proposalbefore it is circulated for public comment.” (Mike Frisch)
