Judge Censured

The Oregon Supreme Court censured a Court of Appeals judge who had driven to chambers “under the influence of intoxicants…for which he had prescriptions because of back and leg pain.” He was pulled over by police after another motorist had observed him driving erratically. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, complete a diversion program and had the charges dismissed with prejudice. No alcohol was involved. The court approved a stipulated sanction of censure.
