A Plug for Carolyn Elefant’s “Solo By Choice”

Carolyn Elefant, who writes the My Shingle blog for solo practitioners, has a wonderful “how-to” book out entitled Solo by Choice:  How to Be the Lawyer You Always Wanted to Be.  I admit, when I received a review copy, my reaction was akin to a rabbi being asked to review a book on how to become a priest.  Yes, it’s true we generally work in the same field, but I have no experience in the subject matter of the book, and moreover, don’t really want any!  But this book is destined to become the indispensable “go-to” for those brave souls who venture out on their own, and there’s enough insight here to provide some benefit even to the most silk-stockinged, pin-shirted, collar-pinned among us.
