What’s The Problem?
An attorney who had been reprimanded twice by the Wisconsin Supreme Court was the subject of ethics charges in three client-related matters. The court ordered a 60 day suspension. The referee who had heard the case noted that it would have been “helpful to have some evidence from [the attorney] as to why he continued his pattern of neglect and whether there was some other cause for the neglect.” Reinstatement is conditioned on a psychological evaluation in order to determine whether the misconduct has a treatable cause.
