Massachusetts Seeks New Bar Counsel

An announcement

National Organization of Bar Counsel:

Following over thirty-eight years of service in the Office of Bar Counsel, the last twelve as Bar Counsel, Constance V. Vecchione will retire effective January 4, 2018.  The Board of Bar Overseers of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts has initiated a search for the next Bar Counsel and will be assisted in this important task by a committee formed by the SJC and chaired by Lisa C. Goodheart, Esq. and Denise I. Murphy, Esq.   

Attached is a copy of the Position Profile announcing the vacancy and search for the new Bar Counsel.    We would appreciate your assistance circulating the announcement to your organization’s membership.  We encourage all interested individuals to apply and ask that a committee co-chair, or our Executive Director, Gregory Wenger, be notified of anyone that you, or your membership believe should be asked to submit an application.
