The Ontario Law Society Tribnal Hearing Division has filed a Notice of Application – Conduct involving allegations against an attorney
- On or about November 25, 2022, the respondent sexually harassed Client A, contrary to Rule 6.3-3 of the Rules of Professional Conduct (“the RPC”), by making unwelcome verbal comments that were sexually suggestive and/or degrading, when such conduct might reasonably be expected to cause insecurity, discomfort, offence, or humiliation to Client A.
- On or about November 25, 2022, the respondent made unwelcome comments to Client A relating to her sexual orientation, that failed to show respect for her dignity, thereby breaching his special responsibility to respect and uphold human rights laws in force in Ontario and failing to honour his obligation not to discriminate against Client A on the grounds of sexual orientation, contrary to Rule 6.3.1-1 of the RPC.
