Taken Out of Context

Reuters report out of Poland, via TPM:

A right-wing Polish MP has dubbed Obama’s election “the end of whiteman’s civilization,” and declared that “al Qaeda are rubbing theirhands with glee.” He later said his remarks were not meant to be takenas racist.

Yeah, what kind of gotcha media would contort the remarks to take it that way? 

“The black messiah of the new left has crushed theRepublican candidate John McCain, and America will soon pay ahigh price for this quirk of democracy,” he added.

Ah, that clears things up.
