An Attorney With Convictions

An attorney who was convicted of selling 20 Xanax bars to an undercover officer while facing bar charges for a third driving under the influence conviction has been recommended for disbarment by the Louisiana Attorney Discipline Board. The attorney, who had been placed on interim suspension, had contended that the conviction did not reflect adversely on his fitness to practice law. The board found a number of aggravating factors that included a lack of remorse and disdain for the disciplinary process. (Mike Frisch)
