The Georgia Supreme Court has granted a petition for an emergency suspension
Morris admits that his competency as an attorney is currently impaired due to addiction and mental health issues and that the Chair of the Investigative Panel had directed theBar’s Office of General Counsel to file a petition for emergency suspension, pursuant to Bar Rule 4-108. Morris asks that the Court enter an order of emergency suspension pending the resolution of the disciplinary and criminal matters pending against him.

McDonough defense attorney Ricky Morris is being held in the Henry County Jail on more than $34,000 bond for contempt of court.
Morris, a high-profile attorney who successfully defended Brian Feltman against murder charges in the death of his pregnant girlfriend, allegedly owes back child support.
Morris, 44, has been a practicing attorney since 1998, according to the Georgia Bar Association.
