Porn Plea Draws Interim Suspension

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has imposed an interim suspension of an attorney.

AND NOW, this 30th day of April, 2025, the Joint Petition to Temporarily Suspend an Attorney is granted, and Christopher Lee Harris is placed on temporary suspension. See Pa.R.D.E. 214(d)(5). Respondent shall comply with the provisions of Pa.R.D.E 217.

York Dispatch reported

An attorney who practiced in York County has admitted to possessing images of child pornography.

Christopher L. Harris, 33, pleaded guilty to a felony child porn charge Wednesday in Cumberland County where he lives. Two other felony counts of disseminating images of child sex acts and criminal use of a communication device were dismissed as part of the plea, according to court documents.

Harris’ attorney, Chris Ferro, declined to comment on the plea outcome.

Harris was charged last June following a Pennsylvania State Police investigation into an explicit image uploaded to a Dropbox account linked to him.

In that role, he’d represented several school districts in York, Cumberland and Adams counties on various matters.

Harris also ended his affiliation with several local nonprofit organizations, including DreamWrights Center for the Performing Arts and the York Alliance for Learning.

He’s been free on a $50,000 unsecured bail since he was charged, court documents show. The bail arrangements mean Harris didn’t have to post money to stay out of jail, but he could be liable for the amount if he violates bail conditions.

As he awaits sentencing, Harris is apparently still considered an attorney in Pennsylvania. His law license is shown as active on the state supreme court’s disciplinary board website.

Harris is scheduled to be sentenced April 15, court records show.

The case led to investigators alleging they found an explicit video on Harris’ phone, as well as an apparently candid photo taken with the phone of youths hanging out outside somewhere. The photo was allegedly edited to zoom in on one of the youths, according to charging documents.

he charges resulted in Harris being dismissed from Stock and Leader law firm in York where he’d worked since 2018 and served as a public education attorney.
