Good News, Bad News
Today’s rant is about the persistent deficiencies in the web page of the District of Columbia Bar with respect to access to information that is mandated as public according to the rules of the Court of Appeals.
The good news is that there are actually two matters listed in which prehearing conferences are scheduled for later this week.
The bad news is that the Specification of Charges and Answers (both public documents) in neither can be located on the web page.
Our bar dues support a large infrastructure of paid full-time employees.
Surely someone could be tasked with the responsibility to ensure that public information be made publicly available on a reasonably prompt basis.
This is neither a new problem or one that has not previously been brought to the Bar and Board on Professional Responsibility’s attention. (Mike Frisch)
