Where There’s A Will
The Kansas Supreme Court has reinstated an attorney suspended in 2013.
The Topeka- Capital Journal reported on the original sanction
The Kansas Supreme Court has ruled that a Lawrence attorney has been suspended practicing law for a year.
The state Supreme Court ruled Friday that Scott C. Stockwell was dishonest in an estate case in which he advised a judge that no will had been written when in fact one had been. The legal dispute centered on the will of a Jefferson County man who died in 2010.
Stockwell told The Lawrence Journal-World that he respects the judgment and will comply with the court’s order. He said he didn’t want to comment further.
